Matt Adcock blog moving soon
Monday, May 19, 2008, 05:21 PM - I do, News, me
I just wanted to drop a post in there to follow up with my last very old post to state that we are making some decisions regarding the placement of our personal (mattadcock.com and soltamargo.com) sites and are consolidating everything to del Sol.
We are actually building a new blog site. Its will be a hybrid (blog-website). Anyway, it will be up very soon www.delsolphotography.com
here is one of my fav's from a recent wedding of Paul & Rachel, our videographer friends in the Riviera Maya :)
In the meantime, check out Sol's blog for some of our recent weddings: www.soltamargo.com/blog www.soltamargo.com/blog
Also, I've been taking up some writing over on another blog, if you havent found it check out www.flashflavor.com Mainly, we write to our other photographer peers in the industry and discuss our creative lighting processes.

Playa del Secreto : Matt Adcock & Sol Tamargo : guest photographers
Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 04:31 PM - I do
Many Thank YOUS to all the people who called, wrote and commented on our blogs with congrats to us on our special day… The love is very appreciated.
Here are a few images that were shot by some of my photographer friends who were guests at my Dec 6 2007 wedding. Be sure to check links to their site to see a few more images from the sneak peek :)
***Disclaimer*** Sergio Photographer was the official commissioned photographer for this event, his mack daddy images coming soon! Sergio was digging on the FF at my wedding, so maybe we can see his techniques here :)
These few images from Mark Adams : LaCour.
Ok, so I liked the Mayan Warrior thing!
And these from my amigo, Chris Savas . Chris works as a commercial photographer shooting events all over the world. He showed up to my wedding with a Mark III and a Canon 300 2.8 with a 1.4 extender… sheesh, that combo is heaver than me!
And here are a few from my amgio, Ben Chrisman. Ben is a compositional FREAK! I am blown away by his stuff, just amazing work. He likely won’t be featured on FF because he doesn't slave flashes, nada! I’ve been thinking of doing and “Anti-Flash Flavor” post though… Ben would make a perfect candidate! Hit his blog to see several more of my wedding, including me SLAMMING tequila! Viva Don Julio Reposado!
And these from my friend, Matt McGraw
Sergio in action!!!
I took a few dance lessons for this :)
And a few from my bud Patrick Williams
Thanks for everything amigos :)

Marietta Confrence Center Brumby Garden : Kellie & Kevin
Monday, December 10, 2007, 01:19 PM - I do, Marietta Conference Center
Fall weddings are my favorite and this one landed just as November was turning the leaves to amazing colors.
Sol Tamargo helped me get some images in the beautiful gardens of the Marietta Conference Center. Topiaries line the edges of this killer outdoor setting. I was SO thankful that the reception took place outside as well.

Primrose Cottage, Marietta GA : Shaunna & Todd
Monday, December 10, 2007, 12:58 PM - I do, Primrose Cottage
I shot a wedding reception at Primrose Cottage about a year ago and was super excited to see what I could do with this wedding because the ceremony took place at NIGHT, 100% darkness. This is a super challenge for photographers as we use LIGHT as the tool to make our images.
I work with light on many levels, mainly spoken about on Flash Flavor, my professional lighting blog where I discuss the techniques and how to's of the biz. We go WAY out of the way to make the event beautiful and making light ain't easy :)

Christ the King and the Piedmont Room, Marisol & Ken
Friday, November 2, 2007, 11:18 PM - Christ the King, Piedmont Room
I was lucky enough to be able to shoot with my hot wife, Sol Tamargo for this wedding. Christ the King is usually a challenge for me as the ceremonies are usually scheduled after the 5pm mass, which has them starting at 7:30pm.
7:30 pm means no daylight post ceremony for any time with photos. This kind of challenge always makes me happy to see the end results because I always surprise myself :)
Check out the slideshow of photographer favorites HERE: Marisol & Ken
I would like to thank friends of Marisol & Ken for referring me! These folks are all Delta Air Lines crew :) Gotta love them!
Kim & Orlando and Mauricio & Jenny
I featured the story about how I got this image on my flash lighting blog, www.flashflavor.com
and this is Sol's setup shot of how I did the above image. Always trying to go extreme heights to get the shot :) Sorry for the pun :)

Hotel Maroma, Oriental Express Hotels, Riviera Maya Mexico, Lynore & David
Sunday, October 21, 2007, 12:09 PM - Maroma Hotel
I'm a bit tardy, well MONTHS tardy making a few blog posts... soooorrryy.
Anyway, David and Lynore asked me to shoot their wedding at one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to in the Riviera Maya.... Hotel Maroma is a luxury hotel where the staff really will do just about anything to secure the 100% enjoyment of the guests stay!
I photographed engagement photos on the beach a few days before the wedding and ended up hanging out the next day for the rehearsal dinner.
here is a slideshow of the engagement session:
